Heating and Cooling Maintenance

To maintain and protect your home’s heating and air conditioning units, it is imperative that you keep them in good working order for efficient operation and safety. René’s Total Home Comfort Ltd. has industry qualified technicians able to maintain all types and brands of equipment. Call us for prompt and efficient service. We recommend servicing on an annual basis, and, with heavy use, twice a year may be best for your needs.

Chimney Sweep Service

Having your chimney serviced once or twice a year improves the quality of air in your home, and gets rid of creosote and other harmful debris. Your chimney sweep can provide you feedback on how your fireplace has been functioning, and will suggest operating tips to improve its performance. A chimney free of debris lets you enjoy your fireplace without worry. Making an appointment before the autumn months is best practice.

René’s Total Home Comfort Ltd. has the knowledge and qualifications to make sure your heating & cooling systems are chosen and installed correctly. We work with you and your contractor every step of the way from Heat Loss/Heat Gain calculations to Installation & Service.

Here are some helpful hints for New Home First Steps:

Contact a Certified Designer with a B.C.I.N. Number. Meet and discuss all your home plans with your designer.
Once your plans are drawn, you are ready for the next step.
Contact your local HVAC company to apply for your Heat Loss/Heat Gain Plans, Duct Design and HRV Design.
Apply for your building permit with your local Municipality.
Decide on a General Contractor.
Meet with your Heating/Cooling Company and draw up a quote for the furnace, air conditioner, HRV, and fireplace, etc.
Decide on your Heating/Cooling Contractor, Plumber and Electrical Contractors
For further building permit information and application, please contact your local Municipality Building Planning Dept.
It is the responsibility of the property owner to ensure that all construction is in accordance with the Municipality Building and Zoning By-laws.

Emergency Services

Emergencies do happen, and they care not what the time of day, day of the week, or how cold it is outside! We do understand and we have in place an Emergency Support Team to look after your problem. From Thanksgiving weekend in October until May, we offer 24 hour emergency service, 7 days a week.

Call 705-653-2530 and our answering service take your information and page out the call to the service technician that is on call for that evening/weekend. Our service technician will then call you back for further instructions, etc.
